Before products are plated the metals are usually prepped whether its brushed or polished before the plating process begins. When fabricating a product it is often a good idea to prep the metals whether its angle lengths or box section lengths prior to fabrication as this will achieve a better finish for finalised product. We often work with our clients to prep the metal lengths. Once the metal lengths have been prepared these are then returned back to the customer for them to begin the fabrication process. We also ask the client to make enough drainage holes within the product, so that the chemicals can run freely. This is often an issue when plating products which are manufactured from box section.
